4th Gen pedals in a 3rd Gen
Almost have all my parts gathered for my T56 swap in my '88 L98 IROC.
One quick question. I'm replacing the thirdgen brake/clutch pedal assembly, and using a 4th gen setup...I know it fits, but what about the switchgear on the 4th gen pedals? Are they plug and play in my '88, or do I need to either rewire under the dash, or use the switchgear from my old 3rd gen pedals?

The 4th gen switches won't plug right in. Either use the thirdgen switches or rewire. The only switch that is the same will be the neutral safety switch.

The retainer for the 3rd and 4th gen brake light switch should be the same size. You should be able to pull the brake light switch out of the 3rd gen automatic pedal assembly and put it right into the 4th gen pedal location.

That’s exactly the sort of stuff I needed to know. Thanks!
