80$ (V6) 700r4 Rebuild
So getting ready for my 3.4 swap and picked up a 700r4 to go with it for 80$ pick a part labor day weekend. Planning on rebuilding it. Got it off a 92 firebird that had just arrived, I forgot to check the mileage like an idiot but hey. Been studying the ATRA book by cliff McCormick and watching many many videos over and over and over for about a month now.
Doesn't seem as hard as many people say. Just need the right tools and doing your research I believe. So I finally got around to removing the pump, input drum, reverse drum and band for now while I figure out were to get my tools. Can somebody send me a link to the correct type of snap ring pliers I'm gonna need and how to make your own compressors or cheap low cost compressors links.
Help a fellow DIYR out. So what I first noticed was the pan was real clean. Bright red fluid like they had just done an oil change. Inspected the bushings in the stator support, reverse drum, pump and they seem to be in very good shape. Being that it's a v6 700r4 it would be very likely to be in better shape than a v8 700r4 due to the lower power loads. So I then removed the reverse drum frictions and steeles, 3-4 frictions and steeles and coast/forward frictions and steeles.
I'm pretty sure that they are all burned up but can you guys confirm this, so that's why the car ended up at the junkyard I think. The input shaft and pump stator journals look good and smooth as well. What do you guys think. So I'm planning to buy a rebuild kit from rockauto but I don't know which one to get. Can you guys recommend a kit that has everything to do the rebuild including the pump.
I'm gonna be getting a 500. boost valve and a corvette servo and also looking at the transgo jr kit. Shoot me some links please

Re: 80$ (V6) 700r4 Rebuild
I have everything you need here with all the needed upgrades, but it is no where that cheap. Depending on what you want to do here and how much you want to spend to do it right. How much horsepower? What is the vehicle used for? How do you drive? Conservative? Moderate? Moderate aggressive? Or aggressive? What torque converter? etc?
