Excuse my ignorance, but exactly what is the easiest and fastest way to replace a torque converter. Also, im looking to buy a, should we say, better than stock torque converter. What kind of converter should i go for. By the way, i dont wont to go all out, i still have to drive my car every day to school. Thanks a lot

well man if you got a TH-350 or 400 id go with a jegs converter they are a really nice sunshell... but if you dont have one finding a 700 R-4 torque/ stall can be a real pain in the *** wish i could help ya bro...
I went with a @2600 stall on my 2.8L since it didn't have the power to get moving well but once you did it would start to go around those RPM's. It felt strange at first but I like it now. I used a company I wouldn't recommend since this is by no means a pristine car and I got it at cost so I took my chances.
What is the stock stall speed in a 700R4 tranny. Oh by the way, Transfixleo, i found out why my tranny wasn't shifting until the gauge red 6500 rpms. guess what, my @!#^&* stupid @#$ tach isn't working right . Its nearly 1000-1500 rpms off. I figured it out by hooking it up to an engine analyzer thingamajig. Thanks for your help though, its made my car run that much better.
