9-bolt Yoke vs 10-bolt Yoke

Hello,
Just gone done swapping the old 10-bolt to an older 9-bolt Rear-End, into a 91-Z28, 350-TPI, Auto Trans.
The entire swap is complete, with the exception of a problem I run into.
The u-joint strap bolts from the old 10-bolt don't seem to fit the 9-bolt yoke, and I ended up breaking one of the bolts, and the broken bolt is stuck inside the Yoke.
Are the yokes different between the 10-bolt and 9-bolt rear ends?
I searched through older threads and cannot find any info on this.
As my last resort, I will have to remove the yoke, take it to a machine shop to get the bolt holes re-machined, and re-assemble.
Are procedures for 9-bolt yoke removal and re-installation the same as a 10-bolt?
Thank for any help.

The yokes are not the same. Yes, remove and install should be the same.
