TH350 torque converter options
I had a B&M 2k converter but it was much too tight even for my conservative camshaft. Well let me start there, 9.8:1 383, carbureted, with a Howard’s 225/225 110 that makes 13” @850 rpm and I have 3.42 gears. The car is light around 3200lbs. I need a looser converter than the old B&M that fits a 153-tooth flywheel but I want as tight a converter as possible and still let the engine idle in gear. I figure about a 2400 stall max. This isn’t a drag car, it’ll do mostly street driving but the main focus of design has been toward auto-x and HPDE. I don’t want to do this again so who’s got a suggestion based on personal experience on a decently priced quality converter that will perform as needed? I don’t need cheap but bang for the buck and quality are important as is performance.

Re: TH350 torque converter options
The jegs units are just rebranded B&M units from my understanding. I may talk to PTC and see how their prices are. Thanks.
