Rebuilding T56 Question.
Hey folks I have a question regarding the reverse gear in a t56. It's from a 1993 firebird. 13-86-007 is the tag number (M29). The guy I am rebuilding it for trashed the gear by slamming it into reverse on the highway. The gear has 35 teeth, and part number 13-86-088-903-E7 stamped into it.
Need a new one, and all I can find on the gear box or hawks third gen is for 94-up, also 35 teeth, part number 13-86-088-003.
Would this gear work for me? I have done 4 of these transmissions but never one from 1993.
Thanks a lot

Re: Rebuilding T56 Question.
The mainshaft reverse gear is the same.
The idler gear is too. But early models used thrust washers on that shaft, and later did not, changing the shaft and extension housing.
