Plastic slave cylinder broke 10 mins after install
I had a bad plastic one in it and assumed I could replace it with another plastic one and a few minutes after bleeding it and letting it sit, I push in the clutch and it snaps the plastic. DId I do something wrong are the plastic slaves really that bad?
I ordered two aluminum ones to see if that really was the issue. So if anyone is wondering on getting aluminum, ill update this.
Update, aluminum slave works great, haven't had any issues. Plastic was crap.

Probably depends on how stiff the clutch is. Worn clutches tend to have the pressure plate diaphragm "sprung" outward and that seems to increase the pedal effort. Also if nothing is greased (fork pivot, trans quill, etc) more effort will be required. Too much force being applied through the slave could break it if it's not strong enough. That's probably why the aluminium slave cylinders exist I'm guessing - for heavy duty applications.

Good luck after I installed my spec clutch both my master and slave plastic versions started leaking. Replaced both with aluminum versions from advance auto a few years ago no issues worth the $75 for the pair
