What Size Bolts?...
I was doing some maintenance on my 700R-4 and noticed that there are 2 different size bolts attaching the tranny mount.
They are the same length and thread, but one has a 13mm head and is rated at 9.8 while the other has a 15mm head and is a 10.9.
Which is it supposed to be? I assume these should be roughly as strong as a grade-8. Does anyone here know?...

The book is non-specific prior to 87. 87 is listed as a 10.9, 88-92 are listed as 9.8. The only difference is 87 shows a separate washer, 88-92 have a flange head bolt. Not sure how closely the book mirrors reality.

Re: What Size Bolts?...
Given that the bolts (2 of them) are opposed ONLY by the piece of rubber that just broke, the x.x kind of rating is largely irrelevant. As long as they're harder than that flabby chunk of fornicated rubber, they'll do.
Correct size is 10mm std thread (1.5mm I think?) x 30 or so long. Length is not particularly critical. Washers, flanges, etc. really don't matter awholehelluvalot. Hanging on the cards at AZ and such, a very common size.

Re: What Size Bolts?...
The stock bolts on my 91 were M10x1.5 flange bolts with 15mm heads. I just installed a urethane mount a few days ago. Pretty standard metric stuff. Grade is irrelevant as long as it's stronger than the mount.
