T56 Transmission feels loose?
I have a T56 transmission in my hot rod. Bought ut used. Mileage unknown.
It work well. No problems. No bad sounds or antything.
But the gear stick feels loose. At lest compared to the manual transmission on my modern daily driver.
Not easy to shift fast, because of the looseness.
Is this kind of normal, or do I have a transmission that soon will have to be rebuilt?
I use the recommended oil.

Probably the plastic cup the end of the shifter rod goes into on the shift rail #95 in the manual is worn. You can get brass ones from the gearbox

I like the proper epoxy and a new stock bushing.
Before doing that, pull the console boot and see id the stick / upper shifter parts are loose.

On the T56, the replacement plastic cup must be epoxied in place.
The plastic will usually be quieter than the bronze. There won't be a noticeable ease of shifting for one compared to the other.
