Hey so been reading, sounds like this 89 Trans Am has a 28 spline rear end. It's a 10 bolt open diff with disc brakes. What is a decent carrier that I can swap in here? S series rear end carriers are shitboxes? I'm looking to upgrade to a LQ9 engine in the next year so would like to learn what can hold that power on street tires. Would like something that will hold up with street tires on the drag strip. Thanks a ton ahead of time. Love this car so much, been looking for one for three weeks. Going to get familiar with the forum and post up pics

 

So looks like an LS1 LSD carrier from an Fbody will fit my car, is that right? Ive located one locally too
