1992 700r4 with new TCI reverse manual Valve body TCI 10" non lockup 3800 converter. Fresh rebuild with red eagle clutches and kolene steel's. Boeg Warner 3/4 clutch maxpack . 5 pinion gear sets. Sonnax super 4th servo. Sonnax pinless accumulator piston kit. Sonnax 2nd gear super hold servo. New sonnax sunshell. Will not shift in 4th gear. Verify shifter is adjusted correctly. When shift it into 4th gear trans just stays in 3rd gear.

Yes before rebuild overdrive worked. a friend of mine did the rebuild

 

I'm no tranny guru by any stretch, but I think I'd start by checking the line pressures in each gear first. A manual will have the specs. Regardless, my guess is at a minimum you'll need to drop the valve body, I assume there are check ***** like in the TH350/400? Possibly incorrect spot/missing?

 

Only check ***** in the TCI RMVB are in the auxiliary valve body and it's there

 

Fixed!! swaped out the sonnax super hold servo with a new corvette servo and OD works perfect. not sure whats wrong with the sonnax yet.
