Strengthen rear end

Hey guys, I just purchases a 6.0 lq9 and was looking to put it into my third gen. Does anyone know how strong this rear end is and if it would hold this power? Also, any pointers on how I can strengthen this rear end?

Re: Strengthen rear end

Power alone won't kill these rears, rather its traction that does. If you just roast your tires your rear isn't seeing much load. A 10 bolt can be made to survive behind a mild/stock LS with an automatic but regardless of transmission type you are on borrowed time. Don't put any money into your 10 bolt. Put it towards something else (12 bolt, 9" or 8.8)
