T56 synchro springs 3-4 vs 5-6 &R
So i bought some "billet" keys with springs that fit 3-4 5-6 & R. But after some research it seems that the 3-4 spring is different than the others? Can anyone clarify that for me? Also the springs I got have a bent end on both sides.

Also, I should add that the springs go way past the keys. When I put the spring on just above the 1 key the other end ends up a good inch past the 3rd key. Is this ok? Seems like it should be a better fit. Maybe cut the other end?

Don't cut them. The bent ends are to keep them from rotating off the keys. Center the ends between the keys on the open end. Also on the flip side I put the springs 180 deg off from the 1st ring to help ensure even tension.

Thanks daferris. I set them up 180, but aligned the one tab just in front of the one key so its way off on the other side. I will change that so they are even. Still curious about the overall size, and weather there is a different spring I should use for 3-4.
