Driveshaft direction (heavy end front or back)?

88 IROC 305 5 speed. My son removed the drive shaft on Xena (our 88) and can’t remember whether the heavy end of the driveshaft is front or back. We just want to get it right. Anyone know? Thanks

The slip yoke has been removed. Neither end has anything attached and both ends look identical. Just one end is heavier than the other and we’re not sure which mounts to tranny vs diff. Anyone know for sure?
