Additional holes or modifications needed on TransGo 700-p plate
I am having a little trouble figuring out what to do. My new 700-p plate and my old seem to have the holes for #44 for absence of the load release springs. I followed the directions but I’m hearing mixed additional **** on the web and at Summit racing reviews about the holes for the throttle valve being too small and spool valve land holes.
Here are some pics
Re: Additional holes or modifications needed on TransGo 700-p plate
Well, I called TransGo and talked with someone. They stated that holes “A” and “C” should be equal in size to the old separator plate that it is replacing. They also said the valve body is being “calibrated”by these holes?? This must be a term used in the industry. Also because I am using an auxiliary valve body set of gaskets from my kit it should naturally not cover the hole “C”. Lastly, as for the slugs I made sure no light went thru them
Re: Additional holes or modifications needed on TransGo 700-p plate
Because the Trans-Go plate is a "universal" plate and is deigned to replace a whole list of OEM plates, you'll probably see a lot of extra/omitted holes and slots in it.
