Need some infor on stock shifters.
As previously posted am going back again!!! to a 700r4 in the 82 firebird OG 200c 3speed. I was using the 3 speed shifter before with the r4 but to do it right im droping a 4speed shifter from a 89 firebird in there. Question is will the slide function on an earlyer model console work with the boot type found in 89??

Well I see there was 10 views and no answers so I'll answer my self.
Yes SSC, It does fit.
The shifter boot does make it look like it dont though, so it can confuse you. BTW what were you doing in a junk yard when your supposed to be at work?.
