700r4 seperator plate holes sizes and functions
Looking to modify my separator plate want a faster harder 3-2 downshift and 2-3 WOT up shift wondering what holes should I focus on and if there are negative side effects from making a hole bigger. I know what the holes are called on the plate and where they are according to many aftermarket shift kit instructions
we have
2nd feed mine is currently .92
3rd feed mine is currently .93
2nd band release mine .93
3-2 downshift mine .110
4th feed mine .130
What would enlarging these holes do? and which ones should I focus on for a faster harder 3-2 WOT downshift and firmer 2-3 WOT up shift, trans has vette servo with 10 inch converter happy with 1-2 shift so I don't think I should touch 2nd feed. Was thinking about enlarging 3rd feed to .120, 3-2 downshift to .140, and 4th feed to .150 but would like to know what the effects of each would be
Previous owner had the current plate drilled small b/c it was using the very harsh billet super servo it now has the vette servo
