It doesn’t look to bad from the pictures and I can’t tell how deep the pitting is . It needs to be measured for thickness and you can put shims behind it .My supposed to be friend wanted a 100 bucks to turn mine just the other day. That’s way to much to cut a stock t-5 flywheel . I believe you can get a new T-5 one , on amazon for 50 bucks .

Re: T5 swap flywheel help

Zackly... as cheeeeeeeeep as new ones are these days, doesn't make sense to dink with an old one.

Whether that one is even a candidate for renewal would depend on how deep those heat checks go. Problem there of course is, you pay money to have somebody work on it, and then take the risk of it ending up useable or not. That looks like it's been slipping for a good while, and/or the driver doesn't know how to take off and shift without slipping it extensively. Might want to consider getting your driver some training on how to drive a stick shift. Butt at least it hasn't been metal-to-metal.

I would NOT "shim" one, in any case. If it needs that, time for new, regardless.

lmao yeah it did look like it was slipping a good bit, (just want to clarify, This along with a few other parts came with my trans when I bought it haha) my only concern were a couple little cracks I saw. For as cheap as they are I may as well get a new one online. Thanks a lot for the replies everyone!
