700r4 Trans LEAK!

I was just firing up my car and notice underneath that there was some trans fluid. Looking under the car it looks like it is coming from what I think is the speedometer housing. Am I F$@&?ED or is this an easy fix? Or am I completely wrong as to where it is coming from. After noticing the spot on the ground (it seemed like a lot), I checked the level on the trans fluid on the stick while the engine was idling and it seemed to be at the correct level.

Thank you in advance.

If there's no fluid above the VSS, then it's likely the VSS itself. My guess is a bad O-ring on the VSS. Shouldn't take more than 10 min to fix IMO once you have the new O-ring in hand. Just undo that clamp, pull out the VSS housing, replace O-ring and then reinstall.

Looks to me more like the seal around the speedo gear. Might need a new housing.

Some housings though, you might be able to add an O-ring under the cable flange thing that the knurled nut tightens down onto.
