Automatic swap to Manual trans (1991 Firebird trams am gta)

How hard is to swap automatic to a manual transmission? Been looking at the forms and don't know too much about it. Can any one help?

Been covered a bunch of times here already. Start searching and reading. There's even a sticky at the top of this sub forum that covers a T56 swap

Depends on your level of experience. If, in the past, you've already done a couple of engine swaps, removed/replaced automatic transmissions, etc., the auto-to-stick job in a 3rd gen is pretty much just nuts and bolts, providing you have all the parts on hand. As above, a forum search will pull up multiple threads covering the job by other posters.

From a practical standpoint though, it's going to be expensive.

The "swap" from one to another isn't really hard. Yes, there are some details, but if you're comfortable taking your automatic out, then putting it back in, I'd say you're capable of doing the swap to a manual. There's a point you reach where nothing is really hard. It's more a question of "how prepared" you are for the project you're about to undertake.
