1988 Auto Transmission Shift Cable Bushing Repair?
My 1988 TA has a shift cable bushing worn out making it very loose also causing the gear identify to not line up correctly. Is there a repair kit someone has used or a trick to fix it?

Pictures would help. Is the bushing brass? NAPA and even Lowes carries an assortment of bushings.

It's plastic. It's where the selector cable (from the shifter) meets the transmission to shift it.
