Shifts feel odd

I recently had my 700r4 rebuilt with some mild upgrades, I also installed a 2000 Stall torque converter. Anyways my shifts feel odd/soft, particularly the 2-3 and 3-4/overdrive. I believe the TV cable is adjusted corrected (could be wrong), I was wondering if since I do not have any experience in driving with a higher stall torque converter. It could just be me not getting to a high enough rpm for the transmission to “feel” like it’s shifting hard and correctly

Re: Shifts feel odd

Dont drive it at all until you are certain the TV cable is correctly adjusted. It controls pressure within the transmission, and if pressure is too low (often felt as a soft shift) the transmission will burn up in a very short period of time. As in like maybe even just a few miles...
