Speedo cut out on me

Speedo cut out on me
Well after i swaped the t5 in from the manual it my speedo kinda worked but really just bounced allover the place untill recently when it just completly cut out on me well a lil wile ago it did so recently i figured maby the cable was messed up so i swpaed out cables and nothing does anyone have any ideas ?
its a 85 iroc with a manual trans now

Check the speedo gears on your transmission?
Check the connection in back of the dashboard?
Speedo guage broken?

Well i know its not the cable or connection in back of the speed or speedo cause i put thoes back in im guessing its the gear it looked ok but apparently its not .. can i buy a replacement and w/one would i need?
