Ahh another couple of questions. 700r4 and B&M RV/TOW kit

I discovered while cleaning the 700r4 that its used and came from an 83 Caprice instead of an 88. So its probably not setup like the orginal one from the cop car. Anything wrong with the 700r4 found in 83 caprices?
Also I know alot of people around here have had bad luck with B&M's sh/t kits but I have one avalible for free for the rv/towing calibration. Im assuming everyone here put the street/strip plate in so is there any problems with the RV one?
Hopefully this will be the last couple of tranny questions for a long time. One thing I do have to say though, the B&M 400 I have is great! and that has the street strip kit installed from the factory, so I dunno what the problem is with the kits.
Thanks.

The '83 tranny will need allot to bring up to proper standards. This is both in hard parts (changes made over the years) as well as calibration issues.

As for the B&M 400, how about the fact that they don't 'fix' one of the big causes of eventual failure in 400's, crossleaks partially applying the directs in 1st and 2nd, for one reason.
