Temp switch delete or not

What's the 'general' opinion on deleting the temperature switch from the TCC circuit?
Do or do not?

It can be nice to have with a Carbureted Engine.
Especially if you run a Carburetor without an Air-Horn/ Choke.

Re: Temp switch delete or not

I don't remember there being a Temp switch for the TCC.
'Really would be nice if people would include the year of their car when posting questions. In fact, it should be in the info under their username. What's the big secret?...

Some THM700-R4 Units used an ATF Temp Switch on the Valve-Body.

I do not use one with most EFI Builds.

Some years/types had it, some not.

And there is no big secret. I can put in my signature that I have a '71 with a full manual th400 and a '02 with an upgraded 4l60e, but it won't provide much information as this question is not about them. Most of the th700r4's I work on go into a car that never came with them.

Would be nice to know that up front since this is a thirdgen forum and most questions here are about them.
It's not just you; it's become a pet peeve of mine considering that there were many changes between '82 and '92, that so many people post questions here and give NO information about the car they are asking about...

I agree.

I see this happen all the time, on this Forum, the LS1Tech Forum, and others (that I am a Member of).
Too many People do NOT Post their Pertinent-Information (Make, Model, Year, Engine, Transmission, Modifications, Etc) and just expect Forum Members to know what they are talking about.

Also more and more often...
I see new Members simply expecting Information/ Answers to be handed over.
They have no concern if the Information/ Answers, had cost someone a lot of Money in Time/ Parts to find those Information/ Answers.

Not to mention that there is also at times a complete lack of Gratitude and Respect shown.
I am happy to provide Information that I learned the "hard way"/ cost me tons of Time and Money/ is very hard to find regarding GM Engineering Information...
just throw in a: "Please" and "Thank you".

Some of the Members that are sharing information, should really be held to a higher regard.
Sorry for the rant.

Re: Temp switch delete or not

No worries if it made you feel better and in my world words don't hurt.

I intentionnaly didn't say 'thanks' yet, as this could prevent some from providing new answers.

Reading the reactions, I notice that we have a different understanding of effective communication on the net. I like to keep my Q's&A's short because I (we all) have more topics to read and different forums we follow.

So when I ask for opinion about deleting a sensor, some information is automatically included in the Q: there is a sensor, otherwise I could not delete it regardless of the year and or type of car/transmission.

The answer provided by IROC perfectly covers multiple options: carburated and EFI.

Voilá, everybody happy. So thank you all and keep posting if there's additional information/insights.

Damn, now I broke my rule on short messaging

I was not directing my post specifically at you.

Just making a statement in general.

The only relevance towards you was the lack of posting details.
