Hello, I replaced my clutch, flywheel, etc and throwout bearing last year. Now when driving With clutch out there is a constant slight squeaking that sounds like a cricket that goes away when I put the most slight touch of the clutch pedal. I really want to avoid taking the tranny out for this as all works fine otherwise, just annoying. I’m hoping someone knows wtf this could be?

thanks in advance

Something to do with the throwout bearing. More likely not the bearing itself, although it could be.

Did you smear a VERY LIGHT coating of grease on the clutch gear bearing retainer before you put the trans in? Blob some onto the fork pivot ball?

Hey thanks again! I followed your instructions so I’m sure I did at the time. I’m assuming there isn’t anything I can do without pulling everything apart?

ok I got this figured out and it took only 5 mins to fix. So I thought I’d post what I did so it hopefully helps others in the future. It was the pivot ball/ clutch fork. I added some grease, I could get access through the rubber boot. Annoying sound gone! Yay easy fix!!
