T5 clutch pedal issue
This pedal problem is on a swapped car. It used to be a 700R4 but I doubt that's relevant. Is there supposed to be some sort of stop on the pedal and the safety switch? My pedal will go down to what feels like a hard stop, then if I give it a good push it will go farther and eventually stop at the floorboard. I have had a bunch of instances where the car does not start because the switch (plastic rod type) is out of adjustment. So I end up having to push the peal past that initial stop point until it makes contact. I quite often have to remove the fuse panel cover, reach up there and slide that plastic rod back to the beginning. Then it ratchets back down to where I think it should be. Only to go out of adjustment a few starts later, then the process repeats. Not sure if maybe I'm setup wrong or something like that.

Re: T5 clutch pedal issue
The early style you have was changed in the 80s. They weren't the most bulletproof design.
The later one acts like a stop of sorts. A metal flap presses the switch , which is attached to the pedal hanger on the left. They're not adjustable.

Re: T5 clutch pedal issue
I did the same swap earlier this year, I just bypassed the switch all together
This may not be the way you want to do things, but for my situation it works just fine lol.

Re: T5 clutch pedal issue
Still need to connect my reverse lights- I've put that off since I have blackouts and they would be just more useful than useless anyway.
