Squealing Clutch Pedal

hi I got a problem with my clutch pedal as the topic says it squeals whenever I engage the clutch. I got under the dash to see whereabouts it was coming from and it sounds like it's coming from where the rod for the pedal meets the firewall. There is a little plastic cover over the section where the rod goes into the firewall. Anyone know how i could go about remedying this problem, maybe with a little grease or something? If i need to grease it, which grease would be recommended. Thanks

Does it squeal if you hold it down, or just squeak while its moving up or down?

There's no "cover" there, the rod goes straight into the master cyl.

Sounds like you're about to need a hydraulic set.
