Pedal bushings
Has anyone replaced the pivot pin bushings on a manual pedal assembly with the assembly still in the car?
Trying to confirm if the pivot pin (i.e. the bolt that goes through both the clutch and brake pedal) can be removed without having to remove the whole pedal assembly.
I have a little slop (left to right movement) in my pedals and have narrowed it down to those bushings as the culprit.

Re: Pedal bushings
Ok dug the old Chilton manual out tonight and per Chilton I should be able to back the pivot bolt out enough to replace the bushings without having to remove the whole assembly 👍

Further update - Chilton liesssssssss
I kid, the pivot bolt could probably be made to come out but this job will be much easier with the pedal assembly out of the car and since that is only 7 bolts that is what I recommend to anyone else trying to do this job.

Re: Pedal bushings
New bushings in, pedal slop gone! I used the bushings made by OER, just got em from amazon for 10 bucks. Good quality. You can tell a big difference between them and the brittle old originals.
