T56 leaking

Hey All,
I have a T56 leaking out of a hole in the extension housing. Photo below with a red arrow pointing at the hole. I stuck a rubber plug in it and seems to stop the leak for now. It's not a long term solution. I've searched and reviewed the T56 manual but not able to find out what the hole is for or why it would leak there. I've had thoughts of threading and plugging it with a bolt. I figured I'd run it by the forum to see if anyone has seen this before. Is something missing or broke?

Re: T56 leaking

It's not a functional hole post-production. And should be a blind hole, which would not leak.

The pipe thread drain plugs work fine for fill / drain but are too big for that location.. A smaller version might work fine there, but verify thickness of the casting before threading.
