Upgrading 1986 700r4 to 1987-93 version. How to?
Hi,
Since my 1986 tranny died and will require a rebuild, I think it is a good opportunity to modify it for the 1987-93 700r4/4l60 version.
Does anyone know where I can find a step by step guide on how to do this?
Thanks,

There were many changes that occurred every single year...
It could be worth it to build a Late-1987 Spec. Unit.
For the Most part, you would need to obtain:
-Oil Pump.
-Reverse Input-Drum, Apply Piston and Clutch Pack.
-Auxiliary Valve-Body and Valve-Train.
-Pump to Aux. VB Oil-Pipe.
-Low Roller-Clutch Support.
-Separator-Plate and Gaskets.
And at least start from there.
