well about a week ago my 700r4 was slipping badly in first gear acting like it was in neutral and just revving up so i brought it to the tranny shop which i had had it rebuilt at 7 months ago. They said something needed adjusting and the problem was fixed .2 days later irt started doing the same thing but itermitently so i brought it back to the tranny shop and the guy calls me and says he cant find anything wrong with it but he said hed keep it a couple more days .At this point he thinks im some nut whos tryin to put him out of buissness.so he calls again says he dropped the pan and couldnt find anything wrong and told me to pick it up. as soon as i pull out of the lot i step on the gas the car revs up to 3 grand but isnt accelerating. does the tranny slip if its cold out?
could this be a problem with my rear end gears?

Bring in your warranty and tell him to fix it! Are you full of oil? Are you sure the dipstick is correct? Perhaps a quart of oil may indicate if this is the problem? Perhaps the sprag is bad? Next time it does this pull the lever down one gear at a time and if it all of a sudden 'pops' into gear, then you positively have an internal problem.

 

okay ill try what you said leo but the thing that makes this so difficult is the 6 month warranty expired last month .i brought it in about 2 weeks before the warranty was up complaining of this intermittent slipping they said it was fine and it was for a while then it started doin it again and stayed that way they saw the problem and said they fixed it but now its doing it intermitantly and it pisses me off that i busted my *** to save for a rebuild for a 18 year old car and now some crooked tranny shop owner is acting like im some nut job whos tryin to put him out of buissness. if there is an internal problem like you said its not going to be worth my money to fix at a tranny shop that doesnt screw over its customers .
