Re: Clutch master cylinder replacement

I did a trans swap by myself. Found it much easier to put studs on the master as I was not able to align and install bolts at the same time.
I did remove the power booster, it’s not hard to do.

Re: Clutch master cylinder replacement

I was able to do it but I was working totally blind.... And I also put the bolts in first, worked it down there.... Then had to feel my way around.... It such a blind area....and I think I did it with the tube connected but not the slave...

Recently changed the brake booster on my car.... Then I saw the installation site for the first time.... And cleaned it ... But taking the booster out was a chore in itself... Two of the nuts were not easy to access under the dash....

Yes, it's possible to leave the booster in and do the MC. It's a pain in the *** to do but it's totally doable. Ya wanna know what's also a total pain in the ***? Removing the brake booster. Getting to the bolts that hold it to the pedals and fire wall is miserable. So, pick your poison!
