700r4. Is it an 88?

Is this an 1988, v8, 700r4. Can you tell by this?
I'm doing an L31 vortec to this and am completely lost. ANY help as far as mounting; flexplate, cables, etc would be helpful. Have learned a lot from the searches. But I'll take any input I can get. Thanks in advance!

86.
Tailhousing doesn't mean anything since it was used 83-90something.
