Heres a SMALL sample of some of the pics for my tech article i'm putting together. A step-by-step for the beginner. Hell it's only the 3rd trans I ever did (1st powerglide, 2nd was a friction replace on a 700r4 and this one is complete down to every piece) The only part I got in the case is the 2 checkball capsules (Thanks for info Pro-Built!)

It's 16 pics and not all of them. I want to photo EVERY step. Sorry I can't give descriptions as the pics are different #'s now and don't match the photopoint #'s. I didn't even get the bushings in the case yet so it really is a work in progress. Is there a certain part you need a pic of? (Now is a great time!!!)

The one photo of the frictions (well they look like steels now) are from the 3-4 clutch pack. And think. these shifts are not the ones i was complaining about! (You should see the band!)

What part of the transmission do you need a pic of? (from a book). I can't scan the whole rebuild book. I'd suggest buying a book, or if it's a certain area you are working on (like installing a servo, or a shift kit, ect.) i can help.

Bwwwaaaaahaaaaahaaaa! You win the "most creative" award, Joel. I have never EVER seen anybody tear down an input housing like you! Not trying to flame you, but using two C-clamps and a 2nd Piston housing between your legs is PURE creativity. Haaahaaahahahaha. In the meantime, I will live my boring life using Kent-Moore tools. I remember the days when I used to do TH350s by sticking the tailhousing down inside a cinderblock!

If I had to re-do alot of them. I would get the tools too. But for once-in-a-while stuff...

Where there's a will theres a way. (You should see how I get the reverse-low spring retainer out. With a pitman arm puller, 1/2" threaded rod and 2 large washers.) Hey it works. And I don't see spending over $60 for the kent-moore tool to use a couple times and take up space in my toolbox. That spring retainer and the one in the pic you mentioned were the two most diff areas I had. The rest isn't too bad.

It's better than building plastic models and at least you get to sit down most the time.
