Surprise on 700R4 rebuild

I'm currently mid rebuild on my 700R4 transmission and I found an unexpected chance in my pump valving. It looks like the previous owner of this transmission was inside at some point and installed this into the clutch lockup valve assembly of the pump, replacing the original valving and removing both springs. I'm not really familiar with this part, and looking around I can't seem to find anywhere to buy the original valve setup. I'm just worried about it causing damage if left in as the product page says its not for highway use.

Looks like it eliminates having a TCC converter. You now have to decide what you want in the transmission. I'm guessing they changed the converter and modified the input shaft also.
