Axle bearing tube surface

I disassembled a rearend for minor build up/gear change. As I removed the rear seals I noticed they were green indicating to me that someone had been in there at one point. After removing the bearings I noticed the axle tube surface is slightly marred in a few areas. Bearings don't show any signs of spinning or anything ..everything else looked great. I assume this surface, providing the bearing hasn't spun and made it larger...doesn't really matter too much right? I haven't pushed new bearings in yet but there was still an interference fit when I mocked them up. I did my best to flatten a high spot but I assume since the bearing is in its own face I'm fine but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Looks like high quality axle bearing removal technique. No problem to re-use.

Yup. I can only assume the incorrect bearing removal tool (too wide) was used and gouged it up.

Such is life.
