I just gotta say I love it and thanks for the help! Also a few questions?
I now have ran two days on the 700R4 with no problems.
Its in an 82 Firebird which wasnt eqquiped with a 700r4.
The products used in the partial build are as folows.
1. Transgo Shift Kit.
2. B&M upshift valve.
3. B&M lockup kit.
All of these are great and it shifts better than any 700R4 Ive ever driven!
All though I still need the correct speedo gears.
Questions.
1. If anybodys does have the part number for 14in wheels (stock size) and 3:42's please post it. My dealer here is dumb and I dont feel like driving 200 miles to Denver to get the correct part.
2. I had to use a shifter from and 89, I dont like the T handle ****, any year fbody come with a **** that is round or square and compatable with the T handle shifter from 89?
3. The B&M lockup drops the converter lock at what im assuming is around 90ish. Could I hook up a secondary lockup like this to keep it locked longer?
Thanks to everyone that helped me get this going!!!

I don't have any part numbers but I am puzzled by your L/U question. If it is wired as you show then once you engage L/U and as long as you are in or above 2nd, it should stay in L/U. Unless you are using an earlier 700 which had the TV lineup for the L/U Vavle. The later ones eliminated this setup and use the ECM to control it. Otherwise it would seem as if for some reaon L/U is slipping off on it's own.

Thanks for the reply.
I have an 83 tranny in there along with the B&M lockup kit, the kit only allows lockup for 35ish through 85mph. It doesent really bug that the converter kicks out at 85 because I dont do much highway driving, but when I do traffic moves 100mph+ in a 75 zone even big trucks (when in Rome
I though I could do this diagram as a secondary safe guard to keep the rpms down a little more BHut I guess I could just go to 15in wheels that should do the trick.
Thanks for all of your suggestions with this tranny Leo, I do appreciate it very much:hail:

BTW, I pulled her down a bit more to see if the bands or cluches needed to be replaced as you reccomended, amazingly they looked new, I guess GM built a good one for once.
