T5 to any small block V8?
Will the Borg Warner T5 trans from a 3rd Gen fit any small block chevy V8, even one from the 70’s?

Yes.
There will be starter issues however. The inner bolt hole used in the T-5 application for these cars did not exist before the late 70s. It will have to be drilled. Other than that, it's a direct bolt-up.
