transmission coolant line??

im making some new transmission coolant lines for a 91 Z28 camaro with a 700r4 and i need to know where the lower line out the transmission goes to the top of the radiator or to the bottom of the radiator??Also does anybody know what it would do to a transmission if you hook them up backwards?? Thanks

you want the line to go in the radiator at the bottom and out the top, to eliminate air bubbles. not sure which line out if the trans it is ,just put a piece of hose on the lines and point them towards a drain pan and have someone fire it up for a few seconds and see which it is.

It's top to top and bottom to bottom, You want the trans fluid to move in the opposite direction as the coolant, this is true on any type of liquid to liquid heat exchanger.
