Is the input shaft for a WC and Non WC T5 interchangable?
I've got a non WC T5 with a spent main shaft, and a WC T5 that is fine except for a broken input shaft. Can I use the input shaft from the Non WC in the WC unit? I'm sure I can tell if I take it apart, but before I waste my time pulling 2 transmissions apart I'm hoping somebody can give me some insight. Thanks.
jim i deleted your thread about the odometerbecause of potential misuse, as you pointed out. you should be able to find out the info you need by asking some of the more experienced members here directly in e mail or by the private message feature here. sorry to say i have no idea about how to do it. here in ohio we'd have to not any change on the title about the switch or incorrect milage.

Fair enough. I think I already got the info I needed from it anyway. Unlike some people, I want to do it so I can actually maintain my actual milage, but this probably isn't the type of knowledge that everybody needs to have. I'm getting an old cyberdene unit that uses the stock speedo junk including the odometer, but since I don't want to hack up my 140mph gauge, I'm going to do it with my stock 85mph gauge that hasn't been in the car for a while.
Anyway, does anybody have an answer for my input shaft issue?
