I am considering dropping a 355 I'm building in my '88 GTA. The motor should be around 420 horse. The car is a 5 speed and I know it would blow, so what manual trannies can I look into? Thanks

T56 or ZF 6-speed are pretty much your only choices if you want a fairly easy install (and even then I wouldn't throw around the word "easy"). You might be able to install a Corvette 4+3 also, but I don't know how well it'd drop in with the overdrive unit. It's basically a T-10 4-speed.

 

Would a Richmond 5 speed be worth the $1900 it costs for this?
