well you are not alone, i just put a new clutch in my 87iroc, and my buddy, put one in his 89iroc, both of our cars make the whistling sound, and as soon as you touch the clutch pedal, (maybe move it 1/2 inch) it stops, it`s really annoying, im not sure if this is just because it is a a new clutch, and maybe everything will wear in and it will stop, or if there is a problem with the T/O bearing if you find out,let me know , also what kind of clutch are your running?

before i changed the clutch i am pretty sure i did not have this problem, and the clutch i just put in was the same brand as the last one. I replaced everything because i rebuilt the motor.

BTW : the clutch is a ZOOM Powertorque, matched set.

really, i wonder where u can even get an all metal one, because the plastic one is supposed to be the new design since it doesnt need greased, i think im gonna leave mine in there until it stops or until it pisses me off enough to drop the trans, one thing i thought abput doi is, takin a throttle return spring and hookin it to the clutch fork under the car , with just enuff tension to keep it depressed that 1/2 inch, so it doesnt make any noise

as for the LT1 cam, im pretty happy with it, it has just enough lope to let you know it aint stock, but run smoothly enough to pass as a stock one to the unsuspecting,im not real sue about how hr ts gonna pull at the upper RPM`s since the motor only has 125 miles on it, and its not broken in yet, so i been keepin it below 3k, but it really screams with all the mods i did.:lala: :lala:
