I am in the process of taking my t5 apart. THe 5th gear driven the one on the main shaft is stuck.
The book says that it can be pulled off by hand.
I fear that the splines may have twisted.
Anyone have any advice.
Tomorrow I may heat up the gear to see if that helps.

Don't heat up anything. Bring it to a tranny shop who will pull the thing off for free. 2 seconds..

dont heat it up!!! that'll kill the shaft take it to a shop as afore mentioned
