300-320 hp 305 TPI

I am building this engine and I want to know how well a T-5 will hold up to this.....I have a T-5 in my 87 camaro that was recently rebuilt.....I don't think it is WC, it uses ATF (dextron II) Now If i put ina WC t-5 do you think it would hold up. I don't powershift....don't see why....It would see the track only to settle grudge matches(not on teh street as most ppl do...i guess i am lucky there is a local track). Now I might swap to a Tremec bolt in t-5 replacement but i don't have the money and I don't know what one to buy....The 3550, TKO, or the 3550 road race.....I do plan on getting into autocrossing but not to the extent of having an all out road race trans that turns the engine over at 3000 rpms on the highway. I quess what I am asking is what are the gear rations of those trans and what is stronger, will the the WC t-5 hold up for a school year ( engine going in, in the summer and then a stonger trans the next with a SC)

The T5 should hold up fine, but who knows what condition it's in. I rebuilt mine myself (need a press) for $250CDN which included all synchros and bearings. Gears were still mint after 150,000kms. Mine is a World Class though. I've had the regular one pulled apart as well and it doesn't compare. THe WC features MUCH better lubrication and better bearings....and synchros.
