I currently have a B&M cooler, its a $40 cheapo 8 pass 8x8x1/2. I pulled a modine from my brothers jeep it's ok because the jeeps broken and been parked for years behind my Dads shop. Its an 16 pass cooler 9x12x1. Will it be too cool for my 700r4? Ive already bypassed the radiator and Ive heard that I could over cool the tranny killing it as fast as running hot. What do you all think?

I may be wrong but i don't think you can overcool the transmission.
Tranfixleo or probuilt may confirm this but i'm sure the cooler the better

I dont remember if I read it in a book or on this board but I heard that you want the tranny fluid around 160* no higher or lower. I've had bad luck with 700r4's, I want this one to last at least 10 years.

 

I put the Modine in it. Took a full quart to fill it back up so I'd say its got a pint more capacity than the B&M, takes up alot more room also.
