Breaking Traction
This is really weird, whenever I get above 3800 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear, it seems like the car is in neutraL, and it is lacking in low end torque. I know I'm not breaking traction, rear end problems? I just had the tranny re-built about 2 months ago? Any help would be much appreciated. I have a 84 T/A with 3.73 gears,T-5, and a few small mods. ( H.O. of course)

Above 3800... low end torque...
What are you really asking?
If it has no power above 3800, it could be any of a long list of things: a worn-out throttle cable not opening the throttles all the way, stuck secondaries, dirty air filter, stopped-up cat, fuel delivery problem, etc. etc.
One thing is certain, neither the trans or rear end has anything to do with either symtpom you describe. If your clutch was slipping you'd smell it.

No, it's none of those, it's just like right off the line if I don't shift in 2nd or 3rd immediately, it's like being in neutral, all revs no nothing. I never had these problem before tranny rebuild. Also had new h.p. clutch installed. PS car has posi rear.
