4th gen rear swap to 3rd gen car
will this work??? i read that some people did it and i am interested in doing it to.... now what i want to know is when I go to look for rears what numbers on the rear should I be looking for I want a rear from a 4th gen f-body with the lowest gears possible 3:42-3:73?? and posi ..... what casting numbers should i look for and will the rear fit fine in my car?? thanks all for the help!

Ps- My car right now has a 2:73 rear-end 10 bolt with drum brakes(look in sig)

Ok I'll take this one. The short answer is yes, all of the suspension parts will bolt up. Some minor adapting is necessary for the brake line and the e-brake cables, and it will be a couple inches wider on each side. You may need a new proportioning valve.
For the "long answer" try clicking that little button up on the right that says "search", theres tons and tons of posts on 4th gen rear swaps. In fact, its usually a good idea to search first because from what i've found, 90% of the questions i need answered have already been asked.
