I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it to shift good and when i put my tranny back in from Just putting the converter in and putting back on the tv cable nothing else, this is when it started so i figure the tv cable is messed up. I took off the old tv cable tongiht and its all bent it differant ways but it seems still good. Now does the little hook thingy point in to the tranny or away from the tranny? Also when just sitting there should the little hook be 1/2 out of the hole? or should it be down in the hole? because its about 1/2 out of the hole and I can get about 2 inches out of it if i pull it up with my finger. Thanks

You lost me on the little hook thingy? But if its the hook thats supposed to go into the tranny to pull the lever up and down, then you are never supposed to see it, should be a little bolt that holds the end of the cable to the tranny. Now from my dealings with the TV cable, trying to thread that hook into the small hole it goes in is a PITA. I've done it a few times, thinking I had it in when it wasnt. Hard to do when the tranny is still in the car.
I'm no expert on trannys, so maybe somebody else will chime in here.

 

I see the hook thing when i took off my tv cable. its sticking out about 1/8-1/2 inch. should it be farther down in the hole?

 

Are you talking about the hook going further up into the cable, or further into the tranny?
