assuming you still have all the parts, take the factory brackets off of the tranny, put the spacers under the new brakets and arrange them about the same as the same as the original were. fix the cable bracket to the rear side of the shifter and leave it. set the cable on the tranny with a nut on each side of the bracket and the "threaded nub" in the hinge part on the selector lever,...this is all occuring under the car, don't put the cotter pin through the nub yet (you may have to tighten or loosen it still) don't tighten the two nuts with a wrench yet,.....most of the fine tuning will be done by hand. speaking of fine tuning, the nub is to "fine tune" the two nuts are to "coarse tune" the control of the shift lever, kind of like doing the derailrs on your mountain bike. with the nub disconnected from the selector, move the shifter all the way down to first gear position, check to see if the nub easilly inserts into the selector. disconnect the nub (this is why you don't put the cotter pin in,you may have to do this several times) move the shifter back up to park, same thing, the nub should fit easilly into the selector lever on the tranny when it and the shifter is in park, repeat again,1st on the tranny and the shifter. don't connect the cotter pin and shift with cable connected until both first and park insert easilly. btw I think the most farthest foward hole is for the 700r4,check with B&M first, also you need to remove the 4-speed pin from the rear of your shifter,it's held in with a snap ring,it let's you move it into first. if you use common sense when you first connect the cable,it shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to tune in. not to loose, not to tight...happy ratchet shifting!

B&M might even mail you a copy (email or u.s. mail) of the instructions if you call 'em and ask... website's http://www.bmracing.com ; they must have a phone number up there somewhere.
